In September new trainees will start their apprenticeship at the head office in Hückeswagen where we offer two different apprenticeships:

• Industrial Sales Management Assistant (m/f/d)
• Industrial Sales Management Assistant (m/f/d) including obtaining the general certificate enabling college and university level studies which are done in cooperation with the vocational school in Hückeswagen

The team of trainers, consisting of 11 colleagues from various specialist departments, is looking forward to accompanying the young people as they start their careers!  They all know the requirements very well and some of them successfully completed their own apprenticeship at Joh. Clouth.

Joh. Clouth – Innovative Partner of the paper industry

Creping blades? Doctor blades? Coater blades?

Never heard or seen these before? The items we deliver are not everyday products and are supplied to an exciting market. For example, toilet paper is so soft because creping blades have textured (creped) the paper.  Other papers are so even and smooth because a doctor blade continuously cleans the roll and drying cylinder surfaces. A brochure is so smooth because the paper has been coated – and you probably guessed it: a coater blade is used for this.  

Our trainees not only get to know the products and their functions, but also the operational relationships in an international industrial company.

Diversity – not only in our products

The trainees spend time in any of our company’s departments that are important for the apprenticeship or their later professional life.  Joh. Clouth pays special attention to practical work. Active cooperation will be demanded and encouraged from day one. For example, conducting customer conversations, entering orders, or carrying out smaller projects independently.

Joh. Clouth is in close contact with the professional schools that are responsible for teaching the theory. Due to this active involvement, each year, we can congratulate our former trainees on the successful completion of their exams - and it is not only us who think this is excellent.

In 2018 and 2019 the Cologne Chamber of Commerce honoured us for ‘Outstanding Performance in the Vocational Training’.
