Janne Nurmi is our man in Finland
<<Freedom, sauna, nature and fly fishing!>> These are the words the native Finn Janne Nurmi has chosen to describe Finland.
<<Typical in Finland are the short days in winter, the long days in summer and the many, many lakes>>he enthusiastically continues describing his home country. And, being an active fly fisher, he has got to know several of these numerous lakes.
How did he come to Clouth?
During a stay in Germany of several years, he got to know Joh. Clouth GmbH & Co. KG and in the year 2003 then, he, as an agent, firstly began to sell the Clouth products in Finland. After a short while only, one began to intensify the cooperative partnership and since the end of the year 2006, Janne Nurmi now reinforces the Clouth field service team having become a permanent employee. For the Clouth Group, he serves the Finish market and, as well, gives temporary support to his colleagues in the UK and Germany, too.
Are there any differences between Germany and Finland?
<<Germany has a special place in my heart – I love Germany!>>, Janne Nurmi says and continues telling about the small differences in working life. <<In Finland many things get agreed orally, in Germany, however, a lot in written form. My motto right from the start is: Keep it simple!>> And that really works good in Finland!
Finland –the most forested country in Europe
For Finland, wood always has been an essential raw material and still today, the paper industry constitutes an important carrier of the Finish economy.
This way, the Clouth Group’s products, of course, are in use in Finish paper machines, too.
<<The corporate image of Clouth is very good and even gets better year by year!>> Janne Nurmi is pleased to tell.
This partly is due to the reliable and innovative products and secondly rooted in the professional advice and service given to our customers by our local stationed colleagues.
We say:<< Kiitos ja nähdään pian!>>
From the high North, next time we go to North America – we are eager to learn what our other colleagues will tell us.
